The Academy didn’t shy away from awarding a comedy for Best Picture, and neither did we! Herbert Marshall, who was never nominated for an Academy Award, won our Rag Award for Best Actor. Walter Connolly, who also won Best Actor, was primarily known through his brief career as a supporting character actor, and in his Rag-winning performance, he showed fantastic hidden talents.
Hidden Gem: Hi, Nellie!
