Whether you're young or young at heart, sometimes it's really nice to curl up with a book geared towards readers. The genres vary of course, but fantasy series are really popular right now. Summer books are lighter fare and beach reads; fall consists of mysteries and thrillers. Winter lends itself to classics and period pieces, and spring hosts a catch-all of whatever I feel like at the moment.
