A toast to Andie MacDowell, the face of L'Oreal and our new Star of the Week! Now, you know I don't review television series on the Rag, but you've got to check out her three years on Cedar Cove, one of my favorites. I own the entire collection, and my mom and I watch a season every summer. To start with, we've got a video clip and review posted to her page of Groundhog Day, as well as reviews for two of my favorites: Beauty Shop and The Muse! Enjoy!

What are you reading this summer? I’m enjoying my usual host of Sweet Valley University books, which I’m sure I’ll post about soon, but I’ve also been chewing up some great novels. These three aren’t beach reads, but they’re great to read out on a lounge chair or a hammock. Check out Absalom’s Daughters, Into White, and The Housemaid’s Daughter, three very varied African-American fiction books. One’s a period piece in the early 20th century, one’s a road trip in the 1960s, and one’s set in a high school. I liked all three!
Bruce Willis's week has come to an end, and all 45 reviews are now posted to his page. Are you ready for the next star? Here's your clue:
Next week's star can be found in a Bruce Willis comedy, and you can also find her in L'Oreal beauty advertisements, where's she's been modelling for thirty years. Know who she is? Check back on Thursday to find out if you're right. A toast to Bruce Willis, our new Star of the Week! To start things off, we've got reviews posted for three classics: Die Hard, The Sixth Sense, and Look Who's Talking. Plus, you can watch a video clip from Die Hard on his page, too. Enjoy! Now you know there's no tv on the Rag, but you've got to check out his 5 seasons of Moonlighting from the '80s! Since I reviewed the novel Sense and Sensibility after Kate Winslet’s week, you probably saw it coming that I’d review the Harry Potter novels after Alan Rickman’s week. These are sentimental books for me, and for most other readers my age, since I grew up reading them. As an adult, picking them up for the first time would be a different experience, one I can’t really imagine. So as you read my reviews, keep in mind they were written with my very thick sentimental glasses on. Enjoy!
Alan Rickman's week has come to a close, and all 33 of his reviews are now posted to his page. Here's your clue for the next Star of the Week:
He's primarily known for his action movies, like the classic he made with Alan Rickman. I bet you know who it is, huh? Check back on Friday to see if you're right! |
