Sometimes it's really fun for audiences to see actors going against type - and I know the actors themselves have a blast showing off their hidden talents! To celebrate these rare chances, this post features some movies you might not have seen or even heard of. . .
To see Gregory Peck in a role that about as anti-Atticus Finch as you can get, rent I Walk the Line. He got a Rag nomination out of it! Deborah Kerr was always prim and proper, isn't she? Actually, no. Not if you saw her in The Gypsy Moths. It was so shocking she didn't make another movie for 12 years. Can't imagine Richard Burton playing a homosexual? He won his second Hot Toasty Rag award for the obscure film Staircase. Or how about James Mason harboring a shameful secret in the bedroom? There's no Lolita lust or Journey to the Center of the Earth adventure in him in this movie, despite its title: The Deadly Affair. I hope you enjoy watching some "new" movies, and I'll see you again tomorrow when we start our new Star. All 18 Rachel McAdams movie reviews have now been posted to her page, and her time as Star of the Week has come to an end. Ready for your next clue?
