Happy Halloween everyone! What are you dressing up as? I’ll be Madonna this year, since I just got a new do’ after bringing in her platinum picture to my hairdresser this week.
Just in case you devoured my movie suggestions from yesterday and were looking for some more for tonight (or this weekend, or whenever the spooky mood strikes you) here are a few more Halloween flicks: In the mood for laughter rather than screams? Watch Murder by Death, a hilarious spoof of the whodunnit genre. Want some romance? Check out Bell Book and Candle, a classic love story about a modern-day witch who falls for the guy next door. For some spooky fun, try these black-and-white mysteries: The List of Adrian Messenger and The Lost Moment. Don’t forget to come back tomorrow for some more Sam Waterston movie reviews—starting with the spooky flick Reflections of Murder. . .

Whether you go out trick or treating, stay in to hand out candy to the kiddies, or go out to a themed party, chances are you've got some fun plans for tomorrow night. In case your plans include cuddling up with apple cider, popcorn, and a festive movie, I have a few recommendations!
For a fun, suspenseful thriller, try The Naked Edge. In the mood for a bit of campy fun? Leprechaun for modern moviegoers, or Among the Living for black-and-white aficionados. Want some devil-worshipping spookiness? Check out Eye of the Devil. What will you be watching? This week, Hot Toasty Rag will be honoring Sam Waterston! To get things started, we've got his most famous films, The Great Gatsby, The Glass Menagerie, The Killing Fields, and The Man in the Moon posted to his page. I would if I could, but since I don't review television, I'll just have to heartily recommend you check out Law & Order, which he was on for fifteen years! And if you want to see what he's doing now, check out the Netflix series Grace and Frankie. Enjoy and come back every day for new reviews : ) You know me—I’ve got a lot movie books. Biographies, must-see lists, genre studies; you name it, I’ve read it. That’s what happens when you major in film. Here’s the rest of my collection, minus the biographies. I figured I’d review those when Hot Toasty Rag honors each star as the weeks go by. Enjoy!
