Pretty Little Liars #1
by Sara Shepard
I might not be the very biggest fan ever, but I did watch every single episode of Pretty Little Liars and enjoyed nearly every minute of it. It was the next logical step to try out the original book series. The first Pretty Little Liars book is very similar to the pilot episode, even ending with the same memorable text message. There are some differences, but they’re pretty slight. Aria’s punk style is a little exaggerated, and skateboarder Caleb isn’t a new kid in town. Do those little details really matter?
I look forward to the rest of the series, even though I fully expect plot lines to differ from the television program. After all, Sara Shepard was still writing the books when the series was in production! Still, as a fan, I would love to relive my favorite moments and rejoin my fashionable pals at Rosewood High. It’s an easy, quick read that definitely lends itself to many sequels.
