The Marriage Lie
by Kimberly Belle
I read The Marriage Lie on recommendation from my mom. She picked it up at the grocery store and loved it. She’d never read a thriller before and is currently on the prowl for more of the same, all thanks to Kimberley Belle’s suspenseful story.
In this story, a happily married woman’s life is turned upside down when her husband dies in a plane crash. He told her his business conference was in Orlando, but he died on a plane headed for Seattle. . . The deeper she digs to find the truth, the more secrets she finds. Unfortunately, I’ve seen so many movies in the “women’s thriller” genre, I wasn’t nearly as surprised or riveted as my mom was. While she was shocked by every twist and turn, I wasn’t. While she was convinced that this would be the summer blockbuster of the year if picked up by Hollywood, I’ve seen dozens of films just like it. If you’re new to the genre, you might like this one. But veterans like me probably won’t be fazed.
