A Christmas to Remember (2016)
Anyone want to see Romy White in a Hallmark Christmas special? Given the fact that I named my beloved cat Romy (given to me as a Christmas present) when I was a child and have seen that movie dozens and dozens of times, I was the first to raise my hand. A Christmas to Remember isn’t the best Christmas movie, but I have enjoyed watching it the past couple of years.
Romy—I mean Mira Sorvino—plays a television cooking personality. She’s successful, but she needs a nice Christmas vacation. Her friend, Hallmark veteran Brenda Crichlow, recommends a getaway in her cabin, but on the way, Mira gets in a car accident. Single father (and conveniently handsome) Cameron Matheson finds her wandering around and takes her home. But when she wakes up in his house surrounded by his children, she has complete amnesia!
The title is a bit saccharine, as is the typical Hallmark-esque ending, but if you like sweet movies during the holidays, you’ll probably be entertained by this one. The romance is pretty cute, and I’ll watch anything with Mira Sorvino; she’ll always hold a special place in my heart.
