...And Justice for All (1979)
“I’m out of order? You’re out of order!” is pretty much all anyone remembers from this Al Pacino classic. If you’ve seen, and remember, more than just the famous clip, you’ll know that this is actually a good movie that’s worth seeing and recommending to your friends.
Al Pacino stars as a lawyer who’s more than just a lawyer. How many movies are these advocates given a watered-down or nonexistent back story and only live to serve the law? Thankfully, this is not one of those movies. When not in the courtroom, Al can be seen in many different environments, becoming human in front of the camera. He’s extremely passionate; he starts the movie in jail for punching Judge John Forsythe because his client was treated unfairly. As the movie continues, Al’s integrity and heroism are cemented, until John asks him to defend him on a rape charge. Will Al agree to defend someone he hates, and is John innocent? You’ll have to watch this tense, dramatic courtroom film to find out the answers.
