Cedar Cove #3: 311 Pelican Court
by Debbie Macomber
As it always happens in a series, I liked some books in Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove series better than others. 311 Pelican Court wasn’t my favorite. The main couple from the previous book, Zach and Rosie, were forced into an odd living arrangement thanks to Judge Olivia Lockhart, but while that portion of the story was still very interesting, the other side plots didn’t really hold my interest.
The on-again, off-again romance between Olivia and Jack, as well as Grace and Cliff, grew a little tiresome, and since I’m one of the younger readers who hasn’t yet experience motherhood, I couldn’t really relate to the couples who were struggling with their babies and children. I imagine the older crowd would probably like this book better than I did, since the young, unmarried crowd is not the focus of this volume. Of course, I’m being extremely picky—as we’re want to do when something is wonderful—and I still very much enjoyed this book. I’m loving the Cedar Cove series and look forward to the many books ahead!
