Cedar Cove #7: 74 Seaside Avenue
by Debbie Macomber
Although the famous chess player is not my favorite new resident in town, so many of the other Cedar Cove characters practically drown out his sections of the book with their own interesting plot points. In 74 Seaside Avenue, there’s a particularly juicy love triangle, a new cowboy, and a new opposites-attract romance!
I did miss the company of one of my favorite couples who moved out of Cedar Cove—and in case you’re reading this ahead of time, I won’t tell you who left—and I certainly hope they come back. That couple started the series off, and their passion and young love is sorely missed.
Rachel, a character introduced early on in the series, has had two men in her life for quite a while, and in this seventh volume, she finally has to make a decision. But when her heart is pulling in both directions, it’s a difficult choice to make. Some readers might find this love triangle interesting, but I wasn’t really moved. I prefer the old faithfuls, Olivia, Jack, Grace, and Cliff, who aren’t in this book too much. If you’re getting a little bored though, this book will perk you up with new, juicy romances, mysteries, and dramas!
