Murder on the Orient Express
by Agatha Christie
Another of Agatha Christie’s classics, adapted into several films (including a recent remake directed by Kenneth Branagh), Murder on the Orient Express is a must-read. Obviously, since “murder” is in the title, and since Christie has written Hercule Poirot as the star detective of her novel, it’s no surprise that someone gets killed. Twelve suspects, all with airtight alibis and all hiding secrets from the famous mustached Belgian detective, make up an incredibly colorful cast of characters in this fantastic mystery novel.
This is a very quick read, perfect during the Halloween season. Even if you’ve seen a film version, the novel is still entertaining (although a little less suspenseful if you already know the ending), so pick it up today!
