Sweet Valley University #20: Here Comes the Bride
by Laurie John
I loved this one! The twentieth book in the college series, Here Comes the Bride reads like one extended Frasier episode. Anyone who’s ever planned a wedding knows just how hectic life becomes, and Laurie John describes it perfectly.
The on-again, off-again wedding of Steven and Billie is on-again, at the moment, and the Wakefields are in a constant tizzy trying to organize the last-minute wedding details as the date approaches. Both the bride and groom are extremely stressed, and more than once have their doubts about the entire affair. You’ll have to read the book to find out if they go through with it, though. And as far as the rest of the Sweet Valley gang, they’re just trying to hold onto their sanity amidst the chaos! One of my favorite characters, Mike, has a pretty big part in this volume, and it’s not hard to guess why he comes back. The real question is, will he stay? Again, you’ll have to read Here Comes the Bride to find out.
