Wild Target (2010)
Wild Target is really only for one group of people: those who care what happened to Rupert Grint after Harry Potter ended. People who like Bill Nighy’s thrillers or Emily Blunt’s quirky indie characters have other movies to choose from, but Ron Weasley fans don’t have as many options.
In this comic crime movie, Bill stars as a hitman without much joy in his life. On a whim, he spares the life of his latest assignment, Emily Blunt. Could it be because she’s attractive and exciting? Maybe it’s just because that’s the premise of the story. Emily and Rupert, who’s interested in learning the ropes of the hitman business, tag along with Bill as he flees from Rupert Everett, the bad guy – no surprise there. If you like slightly offbeat British comedies that take place on the seedy side of life, check it out and see if you like it.
