This week, Hot Toasty Rag will be reviewing Mia Farrow's movies! To start things off, I've posted three of her most famous movies to her page, Rosemary's Baby, Death on the Nile, and of course--if you know me, you should have seen this coming--the one and only acceptable version of The Great Gatsby. You know I don't review television, but she got her start playing Allison McKenzie on the television series Peyton Place, so you might want to check that out. Enjoy!

Today is the last day to honor Frank Sinatra's movies, and all 41 reviews have been posted to his page. He only made 55 movies, so I think Hot Toasty Rag just set a ratio record! Anyway, be sure to check them out if you missed any this week.
What's the clue for next week's star you ask? Well, it's a repeat of the last clue. Frank Sinatra never made a movie with next week's star, but he was married to her. Any guesses? See you on Wednesday! This week, Hot Toasty Rag will review the movies of Frank Sinatra! To start with, we've got his Oscar-winning performance in From Here to Eternity, the film he should have won his Oscar for, The Man with the Golden Arm, a tense thriller Suddenly, and a 1960s drama The Detective. Around the World in 80 Days, Can-Can, Guys and Dolls, and Some Came Running have been posted from other stars, but they're uploaded to his page as well. Check back every day for more reviews! Ava Gardner's time has come to a close, and all 13 movie reviews have been posted to her page, as well as a fantastic biography. Who's next? Here's a clue:
Next week's star never made a movie with Ava Gardner. But he was married to her for six years! Any guesses? Check back on Friday to see if you're right! This week's Star of the Week is Ava Gardner! In addition to her movie reviews, I've also posted a fantastic, scintillating biography of hers (thanks big brother!) to her page. To start things off, I've reviewed a couple of her classics, The Barefoot Contessa and The Night of the Iguana, as well as my personal favorite Show Boat! The movie is a favorite of mine; even though it’s very silly, it’s perfect to watch with a glass or bottle of wine and giggle with your girlfriends after a hard week. The book Confessions of a Shopaholic is pretty cute, too, so if you’re more of a reader than a watcher, check it out!
Perfect timing, right after my Gregory Peck reviews, to post reviews of the classic, To Kill a Mockingbird, as well as an adorable little cocktail book inspired by literary classics, Tequila Mockingbird. Enjoy!
Today's the last day to post Gregory Peck reviews, and all 33 of his movies are now posted to his page. Check back on Sunday for next week's Star of the Week. Here's a hint on who it is:
I don't happen to like her, but she was Gregory Peck's favorite leading lady. Start doing your research! Any guesses? To kick off Labor Day weekend, I’ve got three recommendations for you: For those who like classic and want nostalgia on what used to be called the last week of summer, try Picnic, which takes place on Labor Day. Want something more modern? Check out the romantic and suspenseful Labor Day, starring Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin. And if you’d rather curl up with a book, I’ve also reviewed the original Labor Day novel.
I've taken the day off from Gregory Peck today, but check back tomorrow to continue reading reviews of his movies. |
