A very happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I remember as a kid, it was part of our family's tradition to go to the movie theaters after dinner and check out the latest Disney cartoon (and later on, all the Harry Potter movies were Thanksgiving treats!). If you're trying to find a festive flick to watch this evening, check out our list of suggestions here!
Our final Star of the Week for 2023 is Edmund Gwenn! To start things off, you can watch a video clip from Miracle on 34th Street and read reviews of Louisa and Mister 880. Come back every day for new reviews posted directly to his page! As fall is about to turn into winter, I thought I'd sneak in a few more thrillers. Weather has a lot to do with what we like to watch and read, doesn't it? Holiday cheer is just around the corner, and the days are numbered when we like to enjoy being scared by creepy characters. Check out these new book reviews:
You - a cautionary tale of online stalking Two Can Keep a Secret - another teen murder mystery by Karen M. McManus Keep Your Friends Close - when the cat's away. . . Burt Lancaster's week has come to a close, and all 46 of his reviews are now posted to his page, in case you want to catch up on any missed days. Are you ready for your next clue? Believe it or not, we're at the end of the year. We've honored a very fun lineup of stars this year, from icons like Fred Astaire and Ingrid Bergman to more obscure actors like Jeff Corey and Susannah York. Who were some of your favorites? Did you discover any new movies this year?
And here we are at last, our final Star of 2023, our Christmas Star: This costar of Burt Lancaster was legally proved to be "the one and only Santa Claus", so no holiday would be complete without watching his iconic Christmas movie. Come back on Saturday to start his week! |
